Democratic Renewal and Civic Space at the Council of Europe

Mehmet Fırat Can Haraç attended the international conference “Shaping Democratic Renewal: Civic Space and the Path to a New Democratic Pact for Europe”, held at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg on 2–3 February 2026, on behalf of Haraç Law & Consulting and representing the European Young Bar Association (EYBA).

The conference addressed democratic renewal in Europe, the protection and development of civic space, and the role of civil society in strengthening democratic standards.

Bringing together participants from different European countries, the meetings provided a valuable forum for dialogue between European institutions and civil society and for exchanging views on the future of democratic processes.
